CAF President Dr Motsepe conveys condolences following the tragic passing of Algerian referee Marouane Kacemi

The President of the Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”), Dr Patrice Motsepe, has expressed his deep condolences to the Fédération Algérienne de Football following the tragic passing of Algerian federal referee Marouane Kacemi.

According to Algeria’s Civil Protection authorities, the 37-year-old referee lost his life in a bus accident in Algiers on Friday, 15 August. The tragic accident claimed the lives of 18 people and left 24 others injured.

CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe conveys his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Marouane Kacemi and joins the Algerian football community in mourning the loss of a dedicated referee who served the game with distinction.
