Decisions of CAF Executive Committee on 6 August 2015

1. Harmonising the names of CAF Competitions
The Executive Committee decided to name all competitions involving national teams as Africa Cup of Nations, distinguishing them just by their particularity (i.e. gender or age group), with the exception of the African Nations Championship. Thus, the official names of CAF competitions are:

2. Orange African Nations Championship, Rwanda 2016
The draw for the final tournament of the competition will take place on 18 November 2015 in Kigali, Rwanda. An inspection team will be in Rwanda from 23 through 27 August, 2015 to appraise the state of preparedness and hold working sessions with the Local Organising Committee. The final tournament is scheduled from 16 January to 7 February 2016.
3. Africa U-23 Cup of Nations, Senegal 2015
The draw for the final tournament of the competition will take place on 14 September 2015 at the CAF headquarters in Cairo. The cities chosen for the competition are Dakar and M’Bour. The final qualification tournament for the Olympic Games, Rio 2016, will take place from 28 November through 12 December 2015.
4. Annual Meetings
CAF's annual meetings will take place at the headquarters of CAF in Cairo from 21-28 October 2015. In this light, the Committee approved the updated CAF Standing Committees.
The CAF Executive Committee also congratulated itself on the agreement signed with Sportfive for the commercialization of the marketing and media rights of certain CAF competitions for the period 2012 -2017.
It also agreed to finalise negotiations and sign the contract between CAF and IFAP Sports for the commercialization of marketing and media rights of other CAF competitions.
A special recognition was awarded to the CAF member associations that have already organised seminars for the institution of Club Licences. Those that have not yet done so were called upon to quickly align themselves.
