19:15 – It is the turn of CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe to take to the stage and address the audience. Dr Motsepe expresses his gratitude to the King of Morocco, the people of Morocco and the President of the Moroccan FA Faouzi Lekjaa for their commitment to African football. Dr Motsepe also invited FIFA President Gianni Infantino to address the audience. Dr. Motsepe takes the opportunity to also present awards to the Presidents of Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda for their contribution towards football development in Africa. The three countries jointly hosted the recent TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN).
