Senegal finish fourth at FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, Seychelles 2025

Senegal’s hopes of a bronze medal at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, Seychelles 2025 were dashed when they were beaten 3-2 by Portugal in the third-place play-off at the Paradise Arena in Victoria on Sunday.

The African champions end in fourth, their joint best finish after the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Russia in 2021.   

Senegal led 2-1 into the third period after goals from Ninou Diatta and Sidy Fall, but a winner by Andre Lourenco with a little over two minutes remaning on the clock secured the win for Portugal.

In the final of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, Seychelles 2025, Brazil edged Belarus 4-3 to retain the title they won last year.
