Senegal lose FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, Seychelles 2025 semi-final to Belarus

Senegal’s hopes of a first ever FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup final came to an end on Saturday as they were defeated 5-2 by Belarus in the last-4 at the Paradise Arena on Victoria.
The African champions battled hard but came up against an in-form opponent, who have been in superb form in the tournament so far.
Belarus will face defending champions Brazil in the decider after the latter defeated Portugal 4-2 in the other semi-final.
Mikhail Avgustov opened the scoring for Belarus, but Sidy Fall equalised for Senegal.
The European side took charge of the contest in the second period as they scored three times, two goals for Ihar Bryshtsel and another by Aleh Hapon.
Mamour Diagne brought the score to 4-2 in the third period to give Senegal hope, but when Vadzim Bokach netted a fifth for Belarus, the game was over as a contest.
Senegal will be involved in the third-place play-off on Sunday as they seek to improve on their fourth-place finish in Russia in 2021.
