Uganda beats Congo to first place in Group B following drawing of lots

The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) conducted the drawing of lots on Sunday night to determine the top two teams in Group B of the TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

Uganda and Congo were leveled on five points with an identical goal difference.

The regulations state that if there is a tie the drawing of lots will be held to confirm the standing.

The Hippos of Uganda were drawn first which gives them first place in the group and Congo secure second.

South Sudan's goalless draw against Uganda at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia secures third place for the debutants while the Central African Republic finish bottom with one point.
