'We will forget this match' - Zambia U20 coach Mbewe 

Young Copper Bullets boss Chisi Mbewe has rallied his charges to forget Friday's disappointing 2-0 defeat to Gambia in the TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations and focus on their next game.

Zambia are yet to win in Group C following their 2-2 draw with Benin before losing the group winners Gambia in Alexandria.

The Young Scorpions dominated possession and the chances at the El Hodoud Stadium in the penultimate fixture.

Kajally Drammeh scored midway through the second half to put Abdoulie Bojang's boys in front before Alagie Saine converted a late spot kick to put the game to bed.

“I am very frustrated, we never got into this match," a disappointed Mbewe said.

"We lacked cohesion and tactical discipline. In modern football if you lack momentum, you pay dearly," Mbewe added.

"We will forget this match and put our focus on the match of Tunisia.

"If we win, we will be a quarterback, we have to keep that in mind."

Zambia hosted and won the 2017 TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations but failed to qualify for the 2019 and 2021 editions in Niger and Mauritania.
