Ajara Nchout Njoya returns to Cameroon with Lekie FF
Cameroonian club Lekie FF have secured the signing of Ajara Nchout Njoya, one of the country's most prominent women's footballers, as they prepare for the 2026 CAF Women's Champions League.
The 33-year-old Indomitable Lionesses forward has announced her move to Lekie FF, marking her return to the Cameroonian domestic league after several spells abroad.
In a video shared on her Facebook page, the former Inter Milan player expressed her excitement at returning to her home country.
“Another wish fulfilled… Back home!” she wrote in the caption accompanying the video, in which she appeared in her new club colours.
Nchout Njoya has played for several clubs abroad, including Inter Milan, Atlético de Madrid and Saudi Arabian side Al-Qadsiah. Her arrival brings international experience and top-level exposure to a Lekie FF side preparing to represent Cameroon on the continental stage.
“The story is being written where it all began. I am back home to contribute to restoring Cameroonian football to its former greatness,” the forward said.
Her signing represents a significant addition to Lekie FF as the club turns its attention to the 2026 CAF Women's Champions League, where they will carry Cameroon's hopes against some of the continent's leading women's teams.
