CAF holds Instructor of Instructors Workshop for female match officials in Cairo

CAF Deputy General Secretary Anthony Baffoe officially opened an Instructor of Instructors Workshop for female match officials in Cairo, Egypt today.

The event which takes place over five consecutive days focuses on coaching, developing the profiles and roles of instructors, learning and evaluation procedures, match analysis and management of women’s teams.

Participants will take part in theoretical and practical sessions throughout the workshop with instructors from FIFA and CAF including: Azzedine Chih (Algeria), Frances Hilton-Smith (South Africa), Jacqueline Shipanga (Namibia) and Jean Michel Benezet (France).

A total of 17 Member Associations’ representatives from across Africa are attending the workshop.

Speaking at the opening of the opening of the Instructor of Instructors Workshop CAF Deputy Secretary General Anthony Baffoe said “This workshop is another step forward on the path to nurturing and developing women’s football across Africa which is a priority for CAF.”
