Morocco shock Botswana with lone goal away win
The Young Zebras are now faced with a mammoth task to overturn the scores when they face Morocco in a fortnight in the second leg.
Morocco attacked from the first whistle and were unlucky in the 17th minute when Botswana goalkeeper Thobo Monageng saved the well taken free kick by Ikram Neddar.

Despite the loss, Botswana coach Tapaphiwa Gaebolae is upbeat her charges can overturn the books in the reverse in a fortnight.
‘If they managed to beat us on our home soil we can do same at their backyard. Credit goes to my girls; they played well even though they did not convert their chances. We will rectify our mistakes before leaving for Morocco,” Gaebolae said.
Three countries will represent Africa in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup from 2-21 November 2020 in India.
