Algeria's Bougherra names 28-man Squad for TotalEnergies CHAN

Algeria's head coach Madjid Bougherra unveiled on Monday a list of 28 players who will take part in the 7th TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2022 in Algeria (13 January - 4 February).
The list, announced on national television, is composed mainly of players from CR Belouizdad and USM Alger. Bougherra preferred to keep almost the same group with which he has worked for the past two months.
The "Greens" began their last training session on Monday at the National Technical Centre in Sidi Moussa, before the start of the competition. In order to make the final technical and tactical adjustments, the "Greens" will play a final friendly match next Saturday against Ghana at the Miloud-Hadefi stadium in Oran (20h00).
This appointment is all the more important, since it will be a great opportunity for the Algerian players to get back to winning, and especially to regain confidence in view of the continental tournament, they remain on a bad series of three games without victory.
Algeria, which is the second participation after the 2011 edition in Sudan, will play in group A, housed at the Nelson Mandela stadium in Baraki, along with Libya, Ethiopia, and Mozambique. The Algerians will start the tournament on Friday 13 January against Libya (20h00 local time).
The TotalEnergies CHAN 2022 will be played in four stadiums: Nelson Mandela of Baraki (Algiers), Miloud-Hadefi (Oran), Chahid-Hamlaoui (Constantine), and the 19-May 1956 (Annaba).
