Morocco and Madagascar to contest TotalEnergies CAF CHAN PAMOJA 2024 Final in Nairobi

The TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) PAMOJA 2024 has reached its grand finale with Morocco set to face Madagascar in a historic showdown at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, Nairobi on Saturday, 30 August 2025.
Two-time champions Morocco secured their place in the Final after overcoming defending champions Senegal 5-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw after extra-time in Kampala.
It marks the Atlas Lions’ third CHAN Final in six years, underlining their reputation as one of the competition’s most consistent and successful sides.
On the other side of the draw, Madagascar wrote a new chapter in African football history by qualifying for their first-ever CHAN Final.
Substitute Toky Rakotondraibe struck in the 116th minute to seal a dramatic 1-0 extra-time victory over Sudan in Dar es Salaam, ensuring the island nation became the first from COSAFA to reach this stage of the competition.
The Final in Nairobi now promises a fascinating contrast: Morocco chasing a record third title and Madagascar aiming to complete a fairytale run by lifting their maiden continental trophy.
Before the Final, the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala will host the third-place playoff on Friday, 29 August 2025, where Senegal will meet Sudan.
Both sides will look to finish their campaigns on a high following narrow semi-final defeats.
