Pre-match quotes: Sudan vs Morocco

Published:

Logarusic Zdravko Hrvatsko (Head Coach, Sudan)

My target is the next game against the host Morocco here in this beautiful city of Casablanca. We’re very prepared and we don’t have any pressure playing Morocco who are one of the best organized teams in Africa, because we have qualified already.

The team is fully focused on tomorrow’s game, and the protest from Guinea hasn’t affected us because we knew there was no error.

I cannot say much about the quarter finals whether we will face Zambia or Namibia; what we want is to win against Morocco.

Mohamed Taher (Captain, Sudan)

We have a team that came here to do well. We have booked a quarter final place and tomorrow is about who tops the group. We definitely want to stay in Casablanca so we have to win against a formidable Morocco team.

Jamal Sellami (Head Coach, Morocco)

We have a very important game to play tomorrow against Sudan and in the same vein we want to confirm our superiority in this group to remain in Casablanca with our fans and defend our colours.

We will have a new team tomorrow where we will give chance to the players who have not seen much action to have a chance because I believe in the team and every player is important for us.

We’re going for a win.  We know Sudan have a good team with strength and some weaknesses which we will have to exploit.

As host, we are prepared to face any team because we have the players and most importantly the fans behind us.

Salaheddine Saidi (Midfielder, Morocco)

The atmosphere has been great here because the fans are behind the team which will really help us going forward.

If you asked me before the tournament I would say let’s make it to the quarter finals and see how it goes from there because all the teams are playing good football.

The teams I have seen have good players and I think that is a huge improvement in football in Africa.
