TotalEnergies CAF CHAN 2014: Final line-up to be decided Today

Sunday marked the conclusion of the qualifiers for the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN). 

Below is a summary of the final day of results: 

Madagascar 0-1 Eswatini

Madagascar secured their place at next year’s finals despite a second leg 1-0 defeat to Eswatini. The islanders had initially defeated the southern African nation 2-0 in the first leg. 

Congo 2-1 Equatorial Guinea

The Red Devils of Congo qualified  with a 2-1 victory over Equatorial Guinea, following a 0-0 draw in the first leg. This will be their second consecutive appearance in the competition for Congo. They will be hoping to go beyond the quarter-final stage reached at the 2022 in Algeria. 

Uganda 1-0 Burundi

Hosts Uganda, defeated Burundi 1-0 to asset themselves as hosts of the eighth edition of the tournament along with Tanzania and Kenya. 
Uganda’s efforts to ensure a successful CHAN, both in terms of organisation and performance, demonstrate their commitment to making this edition memorable.

Mali 0-0 Mauritania

Mauritania and Mali played to a 0-0 draw. Thanks to their 1-0 win in the first leg, the Mourabitounes secured their qualification to next year’s finals. This significant achievement confirms their place among the teams in this year’s continental finals.
