DR Congo will need a fit Chico Ushindi to lead them against hosts Cameroon when both sides lock horns in the CHAN 2020 quarter-final, scheduled for Saturday 30 January night at the Japoma Stadium in Douala.

The most anticipated match of the CHAN final eight sparks an adrenaline rush from everyone involved. Spectacular audiences are expecting a thriller in Douala. And the Leopards' attack that scored four goals in the group stage compared to Indomitable Lions’ two will once again be led by Ushindi.

“It’s a great pleasure for me to play against Cameroon,” Ushindi told CAFOnline.com. “We are well prepared for this match and I hope we will advance to the semi-finals, even though Cameroon are the host country. We will fight on the pitch to win this game.”

The TP Mazembe striker missed Libya’s game due to an injury. “I was injured but so far I have recovered well and I'm ready. We will do whatever it takes to reach the semis,” he added.

Ushindi is in love with Japoma Stadium. The Congolese was the first ever player to score an official goal in the new state-of-art stadium, when he netted the winner in Group B opener against Congo.

“It’s a great pleasure to score a goal at this stadium. It's beautiful. But it will be better to score against Cameroon. It is already my stadium now," added Ushindi while laughing.
