Yendoutie Nane – Playing in CHAN gave us good exposure

“We are sad that the team failed to make it to the knockout stage. But we are glad we have got the exposure playing in our first CHAN tournament,” said Nane.
Togo lost 3-2 to Rwanda in their last Group C match played on Tuesday at the Limbe Omnisport Stadium. The Sparrowhawks started their campaign with a 1-0 defeat to defending champions Morocco, before recovering to stun Uganda Cranes 2-1.
But Nane made it clear that playing at CHAN has been the best experience for the Togo players who will never be the same again.
He also stated that the level of competition at CHAN 2020 is very high despite the challenges of COVID-19 around the world. “Many teams prepared really well, and they are playing good football,” added Nane who netted two goals in the competition.
Nane also praised CAF and hosts Cameroon for the good organization of the CHAN.
